Integrating cameras,
alarm and access control

Good integration turns a raw alert into an event you can actually understand. But it only works when the permissions are clear and every failure scenario has already been designed for.

What does integration actually mean?

When a door is opened outside the permitted hours, the system can log the event, bring up the linked camera, and push an alert to whoever is responsible. The value is not in piling up apps — it is in tying each event to the right context.

A camera on its own tells you something moved. Integration tells you which door, at what time, on which permission, with the video sitting right next to the record.

The boundaries matter

You have to define who is allowed to open the door, what happens when the network or power drops, and how manual entry and emergencies are recorded. Security systems cannot rest on a clever scenario without a safe operating path underneath it.

The building blocks we hold to on every integration:

What every integration must have

  • User permissions — who can do what, and where
  • An event log that survives and can be audited
  • Backup power so the system does not go dark with the grid
  • A defined emergency-unlock path
  • Alerts that arrive with an image attached, not just a code

A design that can be maintained

We choose documented protocols and integrations, save the system configuration, and test it on a regular cycle. Every integration you add has to earn its place — a clear operational benefit and a known owner. Otherwise it is just another thing that can break.

Frequently asked questions

Can any camera be linked to any alarm system?
Not always. It depends on the protocols, the integration interfaces and the support offered by the manufacturers.

Is access control priced automatically?
We prefer a technical review, because the type of door, lock, emergency behaviour and permissions all change the design.
